Mourinho interview

Jose wants to rub Roman's nose in it and City are the perfect vehicle. Access to a bottomless pit for a transfer budget will virtually guarantee him success in that regard. I think he'll have trouble resisting, if we actually that we want him, that is.

Nice one !!!
Not only that but lets be honest about this,Jose M. is a direct name for bringing top quality players to clubs.
He is known worldwide and his current success would bring players into the club.OK so will paying big bucks and salaries.
But that could be the thinking of the ADUG, including increasing ground capacity !!
Time will tell.Hurru up Thursday !!!

The next destination for Mourinho will be Spain as he wants to be the first man to win league titles in England, Italy and Spain. Once he has done that he will want to come back to England to build a "dynasty" with a club.

By the time Mourinho has achieved all he wants in Italy and Spain we won't need him.

Actually there is one other club in the PL that has money and would not be keen on having Jose piss on their chips every season.

Chelsea

Or is that a bridge too far?

Fergie > Retirement
Mourinho > Rags

I can see the first bit happening if the rags win the Prem - overtaking the dippers 18 titles - and the CL. Mourinho's ego might not be too fussed about the financial constraints given the challenge of succeeding the old alky.

Despite a number of people thinking the above, I personally believe that there is little to NO chance of it happening. No Money to spend (or certainly not enough), aging players of the ilk of Scholes and Giggs, how to follow the red-faced one and the success....etc etc.

No, Mourinho will NOT be going to the Swamp imho.

What makes you think that Spain is the priority? And what makes you think that RM would be interested? Jose isn't really their type, somehow. They're far more likely to offer the position to Benitez.

But would Mr.A have the guts to "eat humble pie" (not meant as a pun)

With lashings of custard.

The thought popped into my head when Jose made his comments. To me he was saying to Roman '"Do you want me doing this every season to you?"

Answer is no.

Jose and Roman have by all accounts remained on friendly terms and its a few years on and everyone is older and wiser so yes I can see it happening. Jose has never once dissed Chelsea or Roman in fact he has gone out of his way to be conciliatory and complimentry. He said in the interview it was the happiest time of his professional life managing Chelsea, loves the club, stadium, fans yada, yada.

Mourinho is a smart cookie and knows how to play the long game and he is a master at keeping his options open.

You have to admire the guy.

No chance.

I'll put money on Jose going to liverpool if you're interested

Regrettably, I am not a betting man, otherwise I would have snatched your hand off....

Hang on a minute lets look at the bigger picture City want to project themselves into a world brand and who would be better than Jose, our owners would seduce him with a transfer kitty that never runs out.

The world for Jose managing us would be his oyster I am sure our owners would tell him no better than winning the Prem would be the least and Jose would deliver. That is the stark reality who would be likely to guarantee the Prem in their first season and from that it would be our spring board to greater things.

There's only one club Jose is going to in England and that is us. Two of the clubs mentioned, bin dippers and the swamp dwellers, could be so broke that they could end up in administration in the next 10 years. Jose has done his apprenticeship, he's the primo guy. With us, he has his Cistine Chapel, imagine creating a real dynasty, free from an egostical russian gangster calling the shots. If he comes and with his current level of success then I believe the roles will be reversed and records can be broken.
Also one of my best friends is a rag, he has said that for the first time in 15 years, they have started mailing people to see if they want to buy season tickets for next year. They used to have a fuck of waiting list, not any more!
