I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the fees that Chelsea have received for their fringe players have been inflated by the clandestine help of a certain Russian Oligarch. But quite frankly this man is fast becoming a cretin. As previous posters have correctly stated shouldn't someone who cowardly tries to poke someone in the eye be subject to a ban first! Idiot.

I guess it'll depend how we react, if we rise to it and lose control then it'll have been a smart play.

But unlike Rodgers, Van Gaal or Wenger I can't really see Pellegrini falling for it. The only time he ever really lost it was about that Swedish ref iirc.
 
He's just playing games. I don't think he seriously believes half of the things he says.

Before he was a coach, he was a translator. He is a master of words and communication. I think he just likes saying something and seeing how the press react. Of course they don't believe it either but it makes good headlines
 
Wait till Chelsea run out of stockpiled players to sell for 20-odd million. Their commercial side is weaker than ours and they're relying heavily on selling expendable assets... which they've been strangely blessed with. But they will soon enough be short on them, their loan army has no Lukakus or De Bruynes amongst it at the moment. Thorgan Hazard is probably the most valuable at around £6m-£8m. When this well dries up, let's see how their 'clever' approach to FFP works because they already make £20m less than us despite that and despite going deeper into the CL than us (which is always worth a bob or two).
