Listen to you all falling over yourselves In a desperate lunge for the moral high ground. Pmsl

Read the thread again.

If the cap fits, I suppose...

Embarrassing. The sound of a distant barrel being scraped.

Not quite as embarrassing as posters being called "raggish" or "spoilt twats" just because they have a different opinion on how they would like to see the club go forward though.

Is a fair point.

And I certainly wasn't accusing you personally of doing that by the way.

It's enormously important to managerial ability. The best managers have the respect of their players. The best managers build relationships with the players and get the best from them individually through that relationship. It's mancini's biggest failing and the reason why he clashes with so many people.

As costacurta said on live television last week, he's a bit of an arsehole.

Just thought I'd confirm your statement Dave.
"Full credit to Mancini - unbelievable boss.

"He always believes in us and always tells us, 'Guys you have to believe in yourselves, Man Utd can drop some points. The most important (thing is) you have to keep winning games and United can drop some points. If they do it could be enough for us'."

"The job is not done yet. We have to keep going and look after Sunday.

"It would be amazing. It is for that I came to City, to make history, and I hope I will make history in the next week.

"But we know it is going to be tough against QPR because they need the points."
"It is so difficult to change club and country and adapt to a different style of football, and it is down to Roberto Mancini that I have done so well. In my second season in England I feel more settled than ever, on and off the field, and that is down to the manager and his staff. It is because I am happy off the field that I am playing so well on it."
"Roberto is a coach whom supporters love one day and hate the other, but he is a very good professional, one of best,"

"I think he is a very tough coach. He wants the best from each player and that's okay."
Clearly quotes from players who worship him
Obviously but these were 3 first team players that were randomly googled. I did a few more and found similar quotes but didn't feel the need to quote.

To be honest, I don't feel the need to back Mancini in anything he does but when you post what you did leads to wonder what the players actually do think. I know they're not going to slate Mancini off but I'm pretty sure they don't need to be so complimentary.

The thing about your statement is that you take an assumption but then turn it into fact. At least debate the points that you know to be true instead of using personal opinion put across as fact. If you've got some proof that the players dislike and have no respect for Mancini then fair enough, I won't argue with that, but to throw it out as gospel with no real evidence is unjustified.

Who are these players that Mancini clashes with?
