Mourinho or Mancini

I trust the people that are paid handsomely to run our club will make decisions based on what is best for the club, and that is all I can really say on the matter, I am a bit of "my club right or wrong" type of guy, whoever is the manager gets my support and loyalty, the next one comes along he gets the same
Pretty well how I see it, though Hughes was bad for us once taken over, so I couldn't support him, he just wasn't good enough for where we were heading.

Pretty much the same, but I always trusted that the owners would get the right man, and they did in my opinion, as much as it must pain many people fans have little influence over who will be the manager at a club, on the rare occasions they have it has ended in disaster (Liverpool with Dalglish)

Unrelated... OK, semi-related, but what style of football would you rather watch? Our style or this frenetic drug crazed attacking football Real play? Our atmosphere would be improved 50% if we played this style of football regularly (and against some teams you can soak it up and kill them on the break), it's like United's wide play + creativity in the middle too.

If I had my way, we'd go 4-3-3 now and go for it in games. We don't have the exact resources to match what Real are doing (lack of genuine wide players and a regista) but up front I'd throw Kun and Tevez (or Nasri) wide, with Dzeko in the middle. Then Yaya at the base of the midfield with support from Rodwell (or Barry/Garcia/Milner) and Silva going wherever he wants. I'd have the full backs sit back a bit more as they are shit at crossing.

There are some pretty ingrained views on here, the football club will always be in flux to one extent or another, to say I know best, is a bit egotistical in my view, I'll let the owners decide

Didn't like Martin Samuel's article in DM yesterday, he often writes stuff that looks like it's coming directly from City and if that was a case with that article than Mourinho is nocomer.
He and city have a little mutual back-scratching understanding but I'm not sure they'd tell him anything on the managerial side, especially as we still have a manager. I'd guess his contacts at city are at the vicky Kloss rather than Khaldoon level.
It's a really interesting piece though as it reads more like a briefing than an opinion piece, but then again, what the fuck do I know? :)

Watching the Madrid vs Rags game having a few Whiskeys my assessment is this:

Imagine all big clubs are at a poker table. We won big time on the river card last season. Everyone else took note briefly, but they realised the clothes we were wearing were not suited for the top table (Mancini). The Champions League deserves impeccable clothes while playing at the top table (Mourinho). Or we could go back to playing Snap.(Hughes).

No way Tranny will join us. We should go all out to get Mourinho though.

I'd still sooner Bale,he could be our own Tranny.

We have to do everything to get jose in,i agree.

We should have spent what was required to buy Bale last summer, bought Nasty, made De J stay and not bought the others. Can't think our finances would be much different but our points haul would be higher.

^this

And also the wage bill would be much lower.
