Agree but in other sectors it is usually for key employees not necessarily everyone.
High wage indicates their value and as I said before United did not expect him to play as bad as he is doing so would never expect to claim except for his absence for fitness to play reasons.
However football will have its own version of how and when insurance can be claimed so maybe you are right.
