I never understood the ending.

the short story is the events that transpired after the plane engine crashed through his room was a split between two dimensions, the one we saw was where Donnie Darko left his room therefore didn't die and met that bird and fell in love with her. Him meeting that girl led to her eventual death (when she got ran over), Donnie realised this and seeing the plane being sucked into a tear in time and space found himself back in his room and allowed himself to die so that girl would live.

the mist had an ending i wasn't expecting

the craziest ending has to be blazing saddles....where the hell does that ending come from!!

I love the ending to The Mist, it's perfect.

This is one of my faves too, Geres face at the end when he realises is brill.

The Departed has a few twists and is a really good film.

Also Gone Baby Gone has a really surprising twist but very thought provoking too.

Predestination - i think i will need to watch that film 3 or 4 times but really enjoyed it.
