Oh, I dunno... Ok, just thinking briefly...

"Grand Canyon" (Great human drama about losing touch)

"The Fly" -1988 (Great transformation, great nutty speeches!)

"The Incredible Shrinking Man" (Awesome special effects for its time)

"Rope" (Severly underrated Hitchcock film. So many nuances and tricky subject!)

"The Fountain" (A brilliantly and beautifully filmed piece of work. The underlying message is very powerful)

Never seen La Haine but I've always wanted to. battle Royale is awesome as well. Juno is good but the soundtrack annoys me.

1. Little Miss Sunshine
2. The Corporation
3. Irreversible

I'll get back to the rest when I've had a think.

Pans Labyrinth - amazing fantasy film set against the backdrop of Franco's post war Spain. fairly brutal and disturbing in places.

El Topo - mental quasi religious/spiritual/head-trip western movie. makes fuck all sense.

Once Upon a Time in the West - another western, this time a spaghetti western from the master Sergio Leone. this film is a visual masterpiece from beginning to end. long though.

Dead Mans Shoes - best British film in years. paddy considine is stunning/funny/terrifying in it.

Oldboy - proper violent Korean vengeance movie, disturbing, brutal and brilliant.
