I have just discovered that, against my wishes, loads of cunts have been dumping many metric tonnes of stuff in my house, that quite frankly should have been skipped years ago.

We live in a cottage and it is actually, I have found out, a Tardis. How so much crap can be fitted into it, defies the laws of physics. It has been suggested that I am the main culprit, as I am a hoarder of massively twattish proportions and if I mention it as an issue again, I could be sent over the rainbow bridge. To be fair, the word, could, wasn’t mentioned, as it was a definite threat with menaces.

I decided to keep quiet on the subject, but secretly I know someone, or more than one have been dumping stuff that might look like mine, but isn’t, all over the place.

I get the blame for most things, which is fair as it’s usually me, but, fuck me, moving, it’s a right pain in the arse.

Anybody else get threatened with violence for keeping shit others deem only worthy of skipping?

It’s a fucking travesty of a mockery of two shams.
 
I have two enormous boxes of wires in the garage.
I girded my loins a month ago and threw out a crisp box full of power supplies but it was hard to let go.
Yet she calls shelf after shelf of books she read years ago a library.
 
Think we'd be in a catch-22 if we decided to move. The issues @Magicpole describes would probably result in one of us ending up under the patio and the other by implication on the run, thereby rendering the new house pointless anyway.

I suppose I could appear to go along with a 'rationalisation' but actually just take it all to a lock up and then over a number of months, 'reintroduce' the stashed items a handful at a time.

Anyway you are right, it's an utter fucking nightmare. Best of luck!
 
I'm the opposite.

2 young kids with every toy in the f@cking world that's ever been made left out for me to stand on or trip over

A wife with a clothes and shoe obsession.

I moan that nothing ever gets put away, but in reality, there's no room to f@cking put it all.
 
And don't even get me started on how many fucking parcels turn up at the gaff every single day, that's for a thread of its own!
 
The bosslady is a terrible hoarder, and ferocious 'bargain' shopper. We have a back bedroom full, almost floor to ceiling, with the 'bargains. Most still have all of their labels. Every space, every corner of the house is full excep the boxroom which I have banned her from, I have to walk around with blinkers on to stop my head from exploding.

I sympathise with your partner !
 
The worst thing is we are supposed to be moving today, when I am at work. Cunts phoned on Monday to say it would be Saturday. I thought I would avoid it and believe me, keeping my face looking unfazed as she told me I would br front and centre was worthy of enough fucking Oscars to completely fill three bastard rooms.

She peered at me and when I said, that’s probably better, as I can help, Tom Hardy couldn’t have sounded more convincing.

I left the room, walked into the garden and wept.

Surely it's called 'won't pay we'll take it away' in Scotland?
 
It is quite cathartic having a good clear out. We tend to do it every couple of years, sell bits we don’t need on FB marketplace or take them to the local charity shop.

We’re not exactly short on space and I boarded the loft last year, put up decent lighting and shelving for things we really want to keep. The only area where I do tend to keep a bit of junk is in the garage, but that’s bits of wood, sheets of metal, screws, bolts etc that might come in useful, but it is all nicely arranged and labelled in a full on OCD style. I’ve probably got a few too many power tools as well but that’s only because half of the tradesmen today have no attention to detail so I tend to do quite a lot myself.
