Not sure why you felt we needed another thread on the subject 10 minutes or so after one was started.

Hardly a surprise given last night's mauling at St Mirren (and indeed the season as a whole). The bloke has been a disaster (especially after doing such a good job at West Brom).

Did they not get relegated with him at the helm?
Fair point. Perhaps "good job" was a bit (a lot?) wide of the mark; what i was trying to say is that he had them playing a decent type of football. Perhaps that's why they went down though; look at the likes of St(J)oke; horrible football, but they stay up.

Re: Mowbray Leaves Celtic

Can't help but feel a bit sorry for Tony Mowbray, though. A decent fellow who liked to play good football.

He'll be better off out of it. Hope he comes back and takes over at another Championship side and gets them promoted.

Re: Mowbray Leaves Celtic

Mowbray's defensive record was apparently his downfall, Hughes wouldn't last 5 minutes there if this is the case.

Top Story : Mowbray not good enough for Celtic

Next up: Investigation into rumours of bears defecating in forest.

I heard on the radio this morning that in the last old firm game, Celtic didn't have a single shot on target all game. Didn't see it myself, but if that is true I can see why the fans would want him out.

Hughes will hold out for the West Ham job

Maybe but they are skint, as someone said earlier a chance at the Title and Chumps League Football could tempt him.

Also he might not get asked too many questions about City and the way he was sacked by the Scottish Media.

Bet David O'Leary gets the job, you'll see him touting for it in the media in the next few weeks.
Celtic fan in work wants Paul Lambert, perhaps a bit too soon for him though.
Ally McCoist seems to doing well as a number 2!!!

Rangers number 2 taking over at Celtic? I don't think so, somehow!

More like a sleepless night puking up. Some sort of mild food poisoning, says my GP. If this was mild, I wouldn't like severe, thank you very much!

Anyone else think Hughes could go there?

Was a bit surreal last night sitting at CoMS watching City losing to Everton and receiving unwanted texts saying St.Mirren were winning 1,2,3,4-0!!

Heard the Hughes rumour about 2 weeks ago, but to be honest I don't think he'd be up for such a challenge. Like someone already said he could easily snag a job in the Prem this summer.

he got the gig because he was Sellick minded and his teams ( Hibs and West Brom) played attacking footie but they forgot that his sides cant or wont defend,Rangers banked on this and bored themselves to the title

I've had that once, food poisoning that is. I quickly retracted my atheistic beleifs in the middle of a 12 hour puking session, praying to God that I'd be a better person if he'd just make it stop!
On the plus side, perhaps you shed a few pounds and are entitled to a nice fry and a few jars this weekend if you feel up to it.
