MP'S 11% Pay Rise - Stop them now!!!!

If an independent body has made such a recommendation, then it would be futile to argue against it. My fear would be that any rise is simply to compensate a possible tightening of personal expenditure. Perhaps they should now be prohibited from serving concurrently as directors or advisors to other parties during the term of their tenure. Questions should also be asked with regard to the personal links they foster, and subsequently exploit, once their 'calling' to public service has (been) ended.
