The police don't need to be "brought in" they are free to act whenever they like, for reasons only known to themselves they don't want to or at least haven't wanted to thus far.
I doubt Jo Hamilton who has attended every day of the inquiry thinks it's a waste of public money.

The issue I have with the enquiry is there will be no justice served at the end. I understand the bit about the police, but they should act surely if they thinks laws have been broken.

They should and my hope is they will.
But the inquiry is performing some important functions, not least that Bates and others are considering private prosecutions. The inquiry has done the job of disclosure for them and prepared the groundwork for the basis of their charges, this should make it easier and more importantly cheaper for them to bring private prosecutions.
 
looking forward to this afternoon’s proceeding,after what I’ve seen so far,HTF did she get such a high profile job considering she cannot remember anything and if she does says that was somebody else job not mine and they never told me…honest
hope the police look into this considering all the lies,hiding evidence and driving innocent people to take their own life

the police often piggy-back evidence like this - Mrs KBN is a child protection solicitor, and they will dive in after all the evidence has been gathered on the civil side

Unbelievably, she is one of the more competent people that rose through the ranks!
POL is awash with hopelessly over promoted ex posties/counter clerks.

Give them a watch, you will not believe what you see and hear.
Oh actually a special mention should go to Stephen Bradshaw. An investigator who kept saying (without evidence) that a SPMR who had his conviction overturned was still in fact guilty!

I think it's apparent that she rose up the ranks mainly due to her ability to say the "right" words, toe the line and protect the "brand" despite any evidence to the contrary. Even at the cost of the "little" unimportant people at the bottom who were looked upon merely as collateral damage.

Same in almost all places, just some hide it better than others.

I can't see any charges as suggested, doubt the Police will know where to start.

I can see a charge of perjury being brought against Van Den Bogard. I think we have seen enough evidence that when she said in court in 2019 that she had only known remote access was possible "for the last year or so" that was a lie. Certainly Gareth Jenkins misled court on numerous occasions as well. Jarnail Singh will probably face charges of non disclosure. Some at Bond Dickinson and Cartwright King could well face clear charges of miscarriages of justice.
