the scum were there for the taking and just as last season we let them off....
scandalous

you think he has a point, you think they were there for the taking, you think it's scandalous we didn't win.....you think - really?

yep, this is the worst scum side for decades, we have our best side for decades, we missed a very good chance, as we did last season.

Last night may prove to be a valuable point in the long run IF...

- We win the next few games and put a good consistent run of results together.

Mancini wont be judged on his results against United, Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool or Spurs. There are 13 other teams in this league that we need to be winning against consistently.

For all this money we have spent and talk of moving in the right direction we still aren't playing great football and have we won 4 in a row so far under Mancini? As I've said in previous posts, winning against Chelsea and Liverpool is pointless if you follow it up dropping points against Sunderland, Blackburn and Wolves. Those are the games that make the difference.

Yes we beat Wigan.Chealsea,Newcastle and Blackpool

4th in the league, 3 points behind United, they go to Villa next game whereas we play Birmingham at home.

Job done.

Fuck me mate! You can tell you've swerved Browns over the last year. You have your memory back!

We didn't really miss anything last season, they finished 1 point behind Chelsea, this season could be different I admit, I can see us going to Old Trafford and nicking a win on the counter-attack.

Thank god that our Club isn't a democracy or we'd be changing managers, players and even the tea lady every week or even at half time.

The OP is wrong. Gelsons Dad is right.

RM is here for the forseeable future and that may only be the season. Of course we should have won last night but we shold win every game we play. Unfortunatley that isn't going to happen. Sometimes I think that RM listems to too many in his backroom and needs to be a Mourinho tyrant and go for it. One point won from the rags is one point more than last season.

Mancini called it right when he said that seasons following World Cups can produce surprises (because of the disruptions to everyone's pre-season preparations) and there have been some unusual looking league tables across Europe: e.g. Germany with Bayern Munich + others struggling.

This disruption is even greater for teams with new signings like City, as it means we are having to learn about getting the best out of new players / right blend etc on the job with real points at stake.

Key issues for me are:
Silva -(disappointing last night) but we need to get him on the ball as much as possible in final 1/3 and he will make things happen
Yaya Toure - made some encouraging runs last night + showed more energy on the ball ( if sometimes a lack of energy without it).We need to find a better role for him in midfield.
Milner: has become our Ji Sung Park - hardworking + solid but not very exciting.
surely needs to be played in centre midfield where his work-rate is more effective.
Barry: what has happened to the player that used to get forward + create things for Villa ??
Boateng: has become our John O'Shea - reliable + versatile but not a world beater.

If we line up 4-2-3-1 , I see the following :
-----------Hart
New RB Kolo VK Kolarov
--------Milner Yaya
New RW/AJ Silva Balotelli
---------Tevez

So bottom line: we still perhaps need to tweak our line up + get a couple of players in. But having a good defensive shape is a great platform to build on.
Last night was painful to watch but I want to see us vs Bham,Bolton,West Ham at home before I condemn RM too harshly.
