The thing is its easy for Holt to go on twitter and spout ill founded, sensationalist nonesense but you won't see him coming on here (even though I bet he gets to see this piece) to respond to a complete assassination of not only his ''arguments'' but his credibility as a journalist as well.
I had a look on twitter to see what he was saying, I particularly like the comment where he says ''Premier League football clubs selling stadia naming rights is progress. Yeah, right, like call centres are progress.'' Holt's arrongance knows no bounds. A Call centre might not be progress to him but providing 200 jobs in a time where so many are unemployed or struggling for permanent work, particularly in Manchester where the government cuts have been so brutal is something that should be celebrated not sneered at.

That was great Matty, I found it pretty informative myself. It's the hypocrisy that gets me. Just earlier on SSN we had (a rather shaky I thought ) Bobby Charlton giving it the old 'we would never whore the name of our great stadium/tradition blah blah' when they are the most commercial team on the planet. If they are so proud of their tradition then why do they have AIG stamped across their chests as they run on the pitch. Holt's logic would suggest they should be called AIG Utd or something.

Very good post. These writers will always try and find some way to slag us off. Since the first takeover we have been slowly but surely getting stick over the press. It seems to be the in thing to slag off City at any given chance.
