loosing my ntl.com e mail address shortly due to changing servers so i'm thinking of getting a hotmail address so i was wondering if and how i could access this using outlook express...many thanks

I'm not sure if you can use POP3 with Hotmail. I'm prepared to be proved wrong if anyone knows any differently. If you sign up with googlemail you can definitely use POP3 & SMTP though. Easy to follow instruction for configuring your client are on the googlemail website.

Speaking of msn, Anyone else found that msn have blocked people from sending YouTube links?

Just get a Hotmail address, and then save www.hotmail.com as a bookmark.

Trouble with webmail is that you have to keep manually checking for mail, I'd rather the pc let me know when it arrives. I use Opera's built in client, set up to play a different sound for each account so I know whether it should divert my attention.

To answer the original question...

Hotmail cannot be accessed through Outlook Express for free, you have to pay monthly for the premium service last time I checked. However if you have the 2003 or 2007 version out Microsoft Office Outlook, you can download Microsoft Office Outlook Connector (Click here to go to Microsoft Download page) and use that to access email through Outlook 2003 or 2007, which does actually work very well as I use 2007.
