Muffin or Barm

I've never understood this thread, people actually call a barm a muffin? Thats fucking retarded, a "chip muffin" has chocolate chips in it..

now correct me if i am wrong, but in my award compact dictionary a 'barm' is described as follows - (noun) 'froth of bear used for leaven; yeast'.

whereas the muffin is described as follows - (noun) 'soft, spongy cake for putting chips and tomato ketchup into'.

maybe im being slow here but after 3 millionposts did not one of you think to check the word bible.

its a muffin you mules!
