Yes.. and it's officially a legally accepted muffin fact, one that would stand up in a Court of Law.
This was proven when in one trial where this debate was vital to the case, a jury once went into a chippy in Manchester and asked for a chip barm and were met with bemused, puzzled looks.

That would be because it's a MUFFIN.

No, it's not really. My ex came from the black country and it's cob down there and I didn't have a fucking clue what it was when I came across it.
