Muffin or Barm

No one had heard of blueberries when I was a kid and if you had a small cake with chocolate chips in it was called a bun if it had cream or icing in we could have stretched to fairy cake. Since when has an American definition of something become fact here. We don't call nappies diapers or bums fannies so why are we accepting that a bun is now a muffin ? A Muffin is made out of bread and is a roll shape and is what I put my bacon in. A barm is a shortened version of barm pot commonly known as an idiot when I was a kid !

Advice No562. . Never ,ever ask for a dry muffin in London.

I am not even going to google this Andy.

I await an entertaining explanation.

A mate i was working with had a bit of a thing with dairy products.Lots do. He asked the girl behind the range if she had a dry muffin. All hell broke loose. It was like Top Gear when they painted their cars in Alabama.
