No it isn't if you had looked through the earlier pages of this thread that well known on line encyclopedia states the following

40m muffins each year, laid end to end enough to cross the Atlantic, and not a barm in sight. Look at the glorious muffins awaiting their fillers such a chips, bacan and anything else you wish to make into a sandwich. The Barms are defeated long live the muffins and teacakes.

My point is that the naming of a bread based product relies entirely on geography. There will be no definitive answer as, to para-phrase the theme tune to 'different strokes', "The world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you may not be right for some."

Can assure you teacakes have currants in them and the only mu**ins they sell are choc chip or blueberry. Not a barm in sight, unfortunately, just fecking ROLLS. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Good morning to you Barmpots, ready for another defeat. By the way snow in London, they don't know what fucking snow is a flake of snow falls on the capital and the fucking place grinds to a halt. Soft bastards. Need teacakes and muffins to sort them out.
