Possibly. There's not much motive. Or anything really to suggest she's the type.

But then she was clearly very familiar with wild mushrooms. And ate the same meal as everyone else without eating any of the poisonous ones...

She said she was did, but not as much & was ill and went to the hospital ?

Weird one this. No real motive but eating off a different plate and not being ill herself suggest she knew what she was doing.

Probably not enough evidence to convict someone though. If it was in this country there's no way we'd convict her, there's not mushroom in the jails as it is.

My wife is an avid mushroom picker and while she seems to know her stuff, I never eat ones that she's picked. I'm not sure I trust her knowledge quite that much.

I've used to joke with the kids that if I wanted to do away with her, the easiest way would be to slip a few poisonous ones in amongst her good ones. Of course having now joked about that, I have to hope she doesn't pick any poisonous mushrooms by mistake as it would look like I had carried out my plan. I should have kept my mouth shut!
