Without wishing to go too far off topic, I was extolling the virtues of the rhythm section on "Rock n Roll" to one of my daughters on the way to Wembley last week as being single finest example in all of rock n roll.We've had this discussion before mate, Paul Jones is indeed still a fine base player.

Had quite a few connections with them back in the 80s when they built up over a few years & kind of (re) made it after disappearing somewhat, then fucked it up again almost overnight, perhaps trying to attract the American market.
They found themselves playing a bikers pub in the middle of nowhere one night but used most of the sound system they were using in the bigger venues. Very very very loud but pristine hifi sound. Possibly the best sound I've ever heard from a rock band.
