just watched that kill Me If You Can documentary about those lads in Manchester. Very alarming and disturbing indeed.
 
I'm livid. I've just watched that Madness In The Fast Lane documentary.

For those who haven't yet, I suggest watching it.

Basically it's about two crazy twins from Sweden who run out into the middle of the motorway, not once but several times.

One of them who isn't severely injured is released from hospital and custody after two days after being charged with assaulting a police woman.

A few days later this same woman goes on to stab a man to death in his own home.

The trail recognizes the fact that she was mentally ill at the time of the murder (but the defence and CPS can't agree on the diagnosis)

She was declared to be mentally ill at the time of murder but fit and proper since then. Consequently, the judge can't sentence her to an unlimited prison sentence.

She is given 5 years, five fucking years for taking another persons life.

I don't want to get political, but that is just ridiculous. Furthermore, the court deemed her not to be a threat to society!

What does everyone else think?
 
Saw The Imposter at Cornerhouse a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely amazing and paced like a crime thriller. The top grossing doc of the year, apparently.
It's the true story of a 14-year-old kid who goes missing in Texas and then supposedly turns up traumatised and confused three years later. In Spain.
I think Film 4 were co-producers so it will doubtless turn up on TV early next year if you don't get a chance to see it beforehand. Well worth it.

Yeah saw that a couple of weeks ago, very interesting and well paced.

As others have said, The Bridge is well worth a watch. Anything by Attenborough or Theroux, always great.

Grizzly Man, Sharkwater, Greatest Movie Ever Sold all worth checking out. One of my favourites is Life In A Day. Totally unique, funny, moving, makes you feel good about life, absolutely brilliant in my opinion.
