My Dad

I hesitated before posting but I felt that it was right to do so.

My father passed away early on Friday morning. I was by his bedside and watched him slip to wherever his final destination may be.

He was a few weeks away from his 90th birthday so he had lived a life that was full and was loved by all who knew him but now he has shuffled off this mortal coil.

I just wanted to say how much I love him and I urge you all to cherish those who are close to you.
Sending you my best wishes.

My Dad was just 6 months off his 90th when he passed last July and I held his hand as he sat in my late mum’s “chair” (his final request) whilst waiting for an ambulance.

You’ll experience a rollercoaster of emotions and it’s like being hit by a train regardless of age.

What I can say is you will come to terms with your loss, you’ll never forget, with time you’ll look back on the life of your Dad who you loved so much.

It’s great solace to know your Dad passed with you at his bedside, not just for you but him as well.

So RIP your Dad, as you say cherish the memories, which you will and we should always appreciate our close family in life itself.

Take care fella.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like he lived a good life to that age and you had a good bond.

My Dad has cancer and finds out what stage tomorrow so I’m fearing for him at moment.

Crossing everything for you mate, hope it's better news and you can enjoy more time with him.

Be kind to yourself and take the time to grieve over the loss of your loved father.

I still miss my late father a lot. His death hit me emotionally much more than I was anticipating and a great deal of hidden emotion was released. Hopefully, you can get some time to help you process what has just happened.
It comes to us all at some point. Make sure you take care of yourself. It can be very tough.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad a few years ago and even though he was a good age it was still hard to deal with. Still miss him loads and wish I could share all the recent City successes with him.
Take your time to process what has happened. You do slowly start to remember the positive times and look back some fantastic memories
