My Favorite Kun Goal

I've always loved the one he scored against Cardiff in Pellegrini's first season.

He'd just come back from injury, pretty sure he came off the bench.

Gets the ball around 25 yards out, one defender to beat. Takes him on down the outside, then cuts inside, then back outside, then twats it into the net. Made a complete tit out of the defender.

All that pressure to perform and he made it look easy. Like he was in the playground against kids from the year below.

That was a proper thunderbastard of a strike that one! Was that the game where we finally beat them away after what felt like a run of 25 straight 1-0 defeats? Think we went 1-0 down and then battered them 4-1?
That's the one..he got two goals and an assist that match..

10 vs Norwich, home, Premier League, 2011/12. Twists, turns, and finds the tiniest of spaces to poke it through 2 players legs and in to the bottom corner. What a goal, underrated.

9 vs Chelsea, neutral, FA Cup semi-final, 2017/18. Beautiful header to take us to the FA Cup final, albeit an ultimately doomed one.

8 vs Brighton, away, Premier League, 2018/19. Not the most beautiful but one of the most important. We had just gone 1 nil down on the final day and we needed to strike back immediately and he did. Of course he did.

7 vs United, home, Premier League, 2013/14. Was absolutely unplayable that day, not that Moyes' lot were much to play. Kun, along with Silva, Nasri and Negredo tore united to shreds that day and his volley was the best goal and most iconic moment from that match.

6 vs Liverpool, home, Premier League, 2018/19. Such an important goal. Brilliant finish. Made Allison look a right nonce. Lovely stuff.

5 vs Chelsea, home, Premier League, 2018/19. WHAT. A. STRIKE. One of the best goals in this list. Minutes after missing a tap in he spanks it in from what? 30 yards? Went on to score a hat-trick in a 6-0 drubbing.

4 vs Liverpool, home, Premier League, 2012/13. One of the best and most unique goals I have ever seen at the Etihad. Absolutely gorgeous technique to utterly humiliate Liverpool icon Pepe Reina.

3 vs United, away, Premier League, 2012/13. In-cre-di-ble. In-cre-di-ble! Gorgeous goal. Against that lot scores it additional brownie points. The run. The finish. What more can I say.

2 vs Swansea, home, Premier League, 2011/12. I remember standing in the Etihad with Agüero ready to come off the bench for his debut and I felt like my excitement couldn't get higher. Half an hour later and he twats the ball in from 25 yards to complete a debut that also included another goal and a brilliant assist. After that game I knew we had signed the player for the next level. He was a monster.

1 Do I even really need to say?

The one against the dippers in 2013 is probably the best.

But also enjoyed these couple against the rags.

And of course the second goal in this match where he couldn't score a tap in but managed an absolute belter.
