'Free bets' encourage harmful addiction and can have severe consequences. My loving husband developed a gambling addiction after placing a 'free bet'. This consequently led to him to apply for loans that he could not pay back. He tragically took his own life 4 months later.

As somebody who was taken to the brink by cocaine and alcohol, I know only too well the damage gambling does to fellow people in recovery. People don't realise the addiction to gamble is so strong it can be worse than a substance problem as at first it doesn't damage your physical health.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine what you are going through
