yesterday was my 10 year old lad's 1st derby. apart from a couple of pricks near the greyhound who smashed up a rag car i'd like to say that he now knows what being blue is all about.
thanks to the many outside wembley after the game who joined in with the numerous songs he started on his own.
thanks to the captain america who couldn't be arsed carrying his programme around so gave it to my lad.
thanks to the invisible man who had his photo taken with him inside wembley.
thanks to the blues on the grass opposite the greyhound (quinny's disco pants?) who reassured him and helped to calm him down when he was shit scared.
it's people's kindness and good feeling towards other blues that reassure me, his mam and himself that he wants to carry on going to many more derbies.
