I would suggest getting on the wrong train and getting off at Newcastle central

Ha ha...Some good stuff on here lads - I was originally planning Newcastle but it was a bit more expensive for everyone to get too. Some are staying over and others are going back on the night, should be a good few out.

I'm sure we'll end up in a lap bar at some point!

I'm more nervous about the stag than I was on Sunday...

The Monro on Duke street has some really good beer, and if you want some fantastic food to start your day up nicely, you'll get it there too.

the peacock bar is good, Santa Chupitos<br /><br />-- Wed May 16, 2012 12:13 pm --<br /><br />oloha aswell, hawaian themed place

a lot depends on your age group and what your looking for. some good ones on here-

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.liverpool.com/pubs-and-bars.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.liverpool.com/pubs-and-bars.html</a>

the ship and mitre at top of dale street is good for real ales etc and dale street itself is good to crawl down or up.
the croc on hardman street is a good one and if you go next door to the wig and pen you can get a nice lady to dance for you ( allegedly )
hope street up the top end by the rc cathedral has some good bars.
i would personally avoid bold street and the hanover street area but each to their own.
Where's best to go if you're taking the missus out avoiding the chavs and stag do's mate? Might be going in June for a couple of days, cheers.

i would avoid most of bold street probably although its good for shops in the daytime. hardman street just by the cavern quarter is ok, mathew street i would avoid though the grapes can be ok all day long but gets packed. top end of town around hope street is good for bars, chav free with a good view of the city thrown in. you could do worse than jumping in a taxi and taking a short drive to smithdown road some nice bars, eateries, music venues. in the city there are some chav free bars by central station, jrs tess rileys, sunday afternoon is a great drinking sesh in liverpool and pubs are normally packed.
