As I said on a thread recently, that badge will always be associated with City falling from being one of the premier clubs of this country to being an absolute joke of a club. I think the idea is the juxtaposition between the sentiment of the song and the reality of the end of last season. The banner asks the reader to examine their support of Manchester City and the emotions it stirs. It challenges the heart and soul to accept the wayward nature, and occasional joy, of football support. It also throws a humorous challenge to supporters of other teams, in the best tradition of football rivallry. I'd say it's situationism at it's best.
