My Sons First Game is on Saturday. Remember yours?

My first game was at Maine Road against Norwich City (the actual Norwich City) and we won 3-1. Mark Kennedy scored 2 goals in one minute. I cant remember anything else. I was only 5 or 6, so I don't really remember a thing. Only being surprised at City scoring 2 in a minute.

To get the buzz walking to the ground.... to walk up the steps...... look for the seats..... see the rest of the seats fill up......the green pitch..... the players comming out..... Heaven.................................!

My first game was Bury away in 1966, but I can't remember whether that was the 1965-66 season or the 1966-67 season, as I was only 7 years old. Anyway we lost 2-1! My first season as a beer drinking, curry eating, trying to get laid on a saturday night after the match supporter, was the 1977-78 season!

my first post...first football match ever Macclesfield 0 Buxton 0 in the old Cheshire league, loved it also enjoyed the second game v Rhyl it pissed it down all the way through while a dozen or so away fans chanted " sunny rhyl sunny rhyl sunny rhyl " all the way through it.
