My wife, my abuser on Channel 5

A lad who worked in my team was the nicest bloke. I was his supervisor and nothing I asked of him was a problem. We used to finish at 14:00 and if somebody on the later shift didn't turn up and I asked him to stay, he wouldn't bat an eyelid. His missus was a complete arsehole though. Thought the world owed her and she gave him a dog's life over a number of years.

One day, he finished work and went home. As he walked into the kitchen, she was there waiting. She had a whinge at him about something minor. He didn't answer her, just calmly walked to his shed, got his hammer and returned to give her the hiding of her life.

When he'd finished, he put the hammer back and calmly walked to the local police station to tell them what he'd done. Not condoning what he did but after years of abuse from her, something inside him snapped.

Came on to make a post about this, so glad there is one already.

It is absolutely a horrible watch. Even just the opening minute. What a horrible, disgusting woman she is.

Fair fucks to him. He snapped and she made him snap.

He smashed her head in with a hammer over something minor? It's ok coz he was a good lad in work?

I didn’t say that at all did I? I said I don’t condone what he did. I said he came across as the nicest of blokes. I said it seemed like she pushed him to breaking point and he lost it.

Where did I say it was ok dickhead?

ooooh ..that's a bit personal, mate.
We all having nagging wives...can we all do the same when we get to our "limits"?

I think the story was that she was more than just a nagger and just absolutely vile, and sometimes it's just because they like acting like that. There are women like that about and there's no pleasing them ever. They chip away at you without mercy.

(For balance there are also men out there, and I'm not saying there's more women that do it)

I only had a small dose of one like this, and I didn't react physically to her even when she laid hands on me when she was trying to order me to do something she was capable of doing herself.

It was wrong, I would have had more sympathy with the bloke if he just smacked her in the face and broke her nose.

Going to get a weapon betrays the fact he had some control over himself but chose to give into the anger.

He’s a right ****.

He told me he didn’t have a hammer when I asked to borrow one.*
