My YouTube channel - Episode 48 (P26)

He said he has the calendar handy and shows everyone visiting the bridge his calendar.
He’s the Vermont Covered Bridge equivalent of some twat from Blue Moon going on Eggheads and going on and on about it

I wouldn't bother with people like that, not old people with 6ft head lopper offers, the egghead types ;-)

A bridge so good they named it twice :) I never heard of a King truss before and since watching these videos I can now spot them a mile off.

Having a laugh and a joke with a fella carrying a 6ft scythe in his hand took some balls. Going wading commando style is a bit adventurous but it saves you hauling leaky waders about with you.

They put sides on it to stop people falling in ;-)

Hahaha you met a celebrity, he looks chuffed to bits he;s showing someone interested in the bridge his photo in the calender fair play to him.
Next week, the Jeep takes centre stage!

Hollywood next stop.
There’s no covered bridges in Hollywood!

Funny though that you mention that as episode 32 that I completed yesterday has a Hollywood theme in it as none other than Alfred Hitchcock included the bridge in one of his films……
Naturally I was able to watch the clip on YouTube and copy it over onto the video!

Episode 31

Bit of a longer intro today?

That's took a bit of a twatting (Technical engineering term that). It's incredible how many of these bridges are actually of the Victorian era.

That's an inventive way to cross a river loads of heavy trucks must have gotten caught in that specially as they had to traverse a steep incline the other end with wet through tyres.

Ohhhhh a bit of off roading :)

I hate graffiti of any kind but to do it on wood it's even worse. The snow plough is preferable at least that's an accident.

Geocaching the modern version of orienteering. Get a few Morrissey tickets in that jar and you'll have millions of people geocaching their way to that bridge.

Get that award out again, there isn't any point winning it if you don't let everyone know (And no I am not being a funny ****) :)

Thanks
I go off road again in 2 weeks time, while next weeks episode I go following in Alfred Hitchcock’s footsteps……

The Hyde bridge a bit local for the start of this one. I hope you're not responsible for that graffiti mate :)

The second bridge that was used as a shed when it was out of service waste not want not. That bridge has had more repairs than Triggers broom.

looks a bit deep to start fucking about in the water. You sound a bit out of breath there FFS mate you're not a spring Chicken anymore.

I hope you're not too disappointed that I wont be attending your bridge shindig my bus only goes as far as Ashton. I will live your travels vicariously through you until such time my FOC's bus pass stretches as far as Vermont.

Another cracking video keep up the good work.

Ha ha I actually thought of Triggers Broom when going through all the repairs it's had - had it been a UK based youtube channel I'd have referenced it!
I was out of breath! I'd chucked the phone up the bank and had both hands pulling my sorry arse up a four / five foot bank relying on the thick grass in my hands not giving way!

The one off "show" I am putting on at my local bridge will be on youtube the day after the event (7th August) so you won't miss out! Filmed most of it yesterday and putting it together today / tomorrow and then need to add in pictures and footage from by gone days too.
