I keep a few programmes from Significant City games, and the thread about players you have forgotten got me thinking about this one. Can you name the game from this team??

Losing at Boro towards the end of the 97-98 season that helped us go down?

Must be 97-98 because that was when Margetson played most games. The season after Weaver played nearly every match and broke a clean sheet record. Before that we had Rosler and Kinkadze in the team every week so it couldn't be then.

Can't be, we had Terry Cooke by then and Symonds had left I'm sure. Cooke definitely played in that semi and so did Gareth Taylor.

This game is from the season before I'm certain. Must have been a game though when Rosler was injured and Kinkladze was out of favour. But then I could have sworn Goater only signed for the 98-99 season in Division Two.

You sure that line-up is right? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Certain players don't match up.

Kinkladze was back in the team by then though. Royle brought him back for the last couple of games of the season.

I don't reckon that team ever played together.
 
Must have been a friendly because I could have sworn Symons left at the end of the 97-98 season and Goater only signed for that season but Weaver was our keeper by then. Margetson and Brannan played mostly when we were on our way down, can't remember them while we were on the way back up.
 
It must have been near the end of the relegation season. Symons left at the end of that season and Weaver was in goal afterwards too. But it can't be the last two games because I am certain Kinkladze played in them. The end of that season we had Boro, QPR then Stoke. I'm sure Kinkladze played at least the last two so it has to be Boro or before that even.

Tell us the answer or my day will be ruined trying to think of who we played before the Boro game.
