I think if you walked into the cinema blindfolded there is a 50/50 chance Samuel l Jackson would be in it, of the modern day lot Washington,cruise and Pitt don't make many duds. I could watch McQueen,Cagney,Walkden,Newman,oldman and day Lewis in anything. Special mention to gene wilder and John candy

Yes and certain actors are generally good markers as to the quality of movies.

I appreciate that there are good actors, but i am never drawn to a film because a certain actor is in it.

None. Absolutly none. I could probably only name 5 actors and only recognise 3. My wife will not watch a film if certain people are in it which frustrates me as I could not care less who it is as long as the story is of interest.

I try to avoid DiCaprio ....I don't know to me he always seems to be him in the movie more than The Character if you see what I mean where as someone like Michael Fassbender or Tom Hardy becomes the character more
I thought Tom Hardy should have got the Oscar in the recent Tarantino film ahead of DiCaprio
