Ok Transfer Forum as an interesting game, give me your three players of all time (with justification) that would add to Citys squad.

Was thinking about this yesterday with some friends and this is who we came up with:

Maradona 1985 - Could play the Tevez role when he fecks off to Milan. Strong, pacey, great passer and would work well with Aguero/Silva. At this time, he still fits our age policy too. He hasnt yet performed the Hand of God nor scored his masterful WC goal versus England but hus potential is apparent to all.

Marc Overmars 1999 - We all agreed that we need a left winger but there were too many to choose from. I went for Overmars in the late 90s. He played very wide but as a right footer was just as adept at cutting in. His crossing wasnt the best part of his game but was still excellent, in particularly early balls into the box. Him and Clichy could terrify full backs across the land whilst Barry would protect the wing defensively. Dzeko would love playing with him, and he would counter attack with much more pace than we currently do.

Luis Suarez 1964 - Ive only ever seen this lad on tape but a few of the older guys on here confirm his brilliance, and Bobby Robson called him the greatest player who ever lived and he knew his apples. 64 was his peak. He already had a host of accolades behind him, was the worlds most expensive footballer and the lynchpin of Le Grande Inter. We need that regista type player, and from what Ive seen of him, his range of passing was immense. He could tackle, bring the ball five yards and lay on a wicked through ball. With Aguero, Nasri, Silva and Maradona in front of him, he would be the architect of it all. He was also good in the air which is a heavily underrated part of Barrys job in our team.

Thats the best three that I could come up with to plug those gaps in the squad. Be interested to hear yours if we arent too busy watching for Hazard at the airport or whatever

Paddy V in his hay day. If we had him in his hay day alongside yaya in midfield we'd be unstoppable.

Ronaldo (the original) before all the injuries was absolutely unbelievable. Had it all power skill and a lethal finisher. His hat-trick against the rags was something else.

Zidane. Needs no explanation

I've probably not thought this through as properly as I should have but...

Johan Cruyff - would solve our left wing issue.

Emiliano Butragueno - savage poacher; I'm not sure we have an out and out goal poacher of his quality.

Steven Gerrard - the good, not injured Gerrard; take some of the pressure off Yaya

in their prime:

--------yaya-----pirlo
----zidane------------silva
-------aguero---ronaldo

hot damn!

Baggio 1993 - Fantastic memories watching him growing up especially while watching Italia '90 and USA '94 with my Italian grandfather. Probably my favourite ever non City player.

Baresi 1989 - Quite possibly the best defender I have ever seen.

Lineker 1986 - a proper fox in the box poacher, imagine him upfront in his prime with Aguero and Silva (or for this threads sake Baggio) playing behind him.
