Names you don't get anymore.

Sometimes you have to wonder what goes through some peoples heads sometimes when naming their offspring. An ex work colleague's cousin and her husband called their daughter Jenny. Unfortunately their surname was Taylor. Also worked with a guy called Wayne Kerr. Absolutely true.
 
It happens all the time, go around any Victorian Cemetery and you will see amongst the ordinary names some real oddball ones, Like Sophronia, Minerva, Mahulda, Mayme, Gussie and many more, in fact they were just as bad as any other generation

My late Dads middle name was Gateshill, WTF, glad he didnt pass that on to me like my Christian name, weird fuckers these geordies his sister was called Bunty, shit im embarassed now

About 20 years ago a ball bearing salesman used to call in my works called Hugh Cant, God only knows what was going through his Mum and Dads minds.

We often used to say to our eldest daughter Jade "please dont marry a Mr Green"
 
Couple on my street just called their new born Matilda, which i thought was sweet. My mum was called Mabel Ethel, you dont get many of them nowadays.
 
My Grandparents was Called Karl and Luzia. Old names are definitely making a comeback among my friends kids with Archie, Daisy, Ethan, Gabriel, etc. We called our daughter Mathilda.

However, there is a family I know who called their girl River Isla (river island - wtf). I suppose its handy if you want a job there. Also too mani kids being called after Twilight characters.
