There's one thing inimitable Italian Nancy Dell’Olio doesn’t lack – and that’s passion. But she tells me her heart is being torn by the success of both Manchester City and Manchester United in the race for the Premier League title this season. For the fiery brunette has revealed she grew up supporting Manchester United but her footballing connections since then – her former love, of course, was former City boss Sven Goran-Eriksson, while she is also big pals with current Blues gaffer Roberto Mancini – means she now counts her team as Manchester City. She tells The Diary: "I’m more of a supporter of Manchester City I have to say, just because in the beginning with Sven involved and now with Roberto Mancini involved. "So I think they have done fantastically and I’m pleased they are top. But when I used to live in Italy my international team was always Manchester United. "I was always a big supporter of them back then and I remember I loved the way the club was structured. "But I have to say I’m a Manchester City fan now."
