Went with my girlfriend to Nando's last night, but when we got there it was queued out of the door, and mad busy on a Tuesday night.

Why is Nando's so popular? It can't just be the Chicken...

It's not too cheap like Mac and BK and it's not too expensive like a flashy restaurant.

I think that's why.

I don't think that's too far wrong. It sells proper chicken as opposed to processed shit, thus making it much healthier, and tastes better

concur with the last poster, they are mad for it in South Africa, where you dont see american burger bars. Although KFC is highly popular aswell.

i dont personally think its that great, if no que will go, but if que i just go sumwhere else

i think its really shit. i cant get me head round paying good money to have to spend 20 minutes queuing up to get in, then once youv got in looking at the greasy menu that always has bits of other peoples meals on it. once you have had the honour of looking at that you then get to rise from your chair again to go to order food like you are in a pub; but unlike a pub you have to pour your own drink if your not after something alcoholic. then they hover around you to encourage you to eat your chicken as fast as you can before the next mug sits down.

as you can see im not a fan.

I'll be honest, I thought it was nice... but nothing special... And it's baffling the way you have to order your food at a bar...

I couldn't believe how busy it was... and how big the queue was.

I'd have it again, but I'd probably phone ahead and get it as a takeaway.

Philbo made a good point, there were a lot of Asian families in there (probably because of the halal thing (which I didn't know about)
