Napoli (A)

I'll be travelling alone to this game (my first CL away) and I have been looking at ways to get to the stadium from the airport this morning.

I came across a 2011 club notice that City fans were advised to socialise at the port and there would be a shuttle bus service to the stadium and back.

Is this something that is likely to happen again this year? I would only need to make travel arrangements into city centre then in that case which would be easier.

All English teams in Naples have been given this advise.
unless things have changed its likely to be the same.
The port area bars were good last visit.

lad who i know,is a napoli fan and goes as often as he can, home and away.
best place for away fans to gather is around the port area, plenty of bars and food and less chance to find trouble!

Thanks for the info guys.

From 2011:

In a letter to the 800 fans who bought tickets for the match, club officials have urged them:

  • Not to wear club shirts or scarves
  • To avoid no-go areas – including the train station and the city centre
  • To congregate around the safer port area
  • And to use special shuttle buses being laid on from 5pm to take them to the stadium for Tuesday’s match

I'm sure the club will release news closer to the time with confirmation of shuttles etc.

Hi Guys,

Anybody looking for an option of staying in Rome for a few days and making the day trip to Naples let me know.
I will have a coach leaving from Rome in the afternoon(3/4pm) and returning after the game (2am)
The cost would be 45€/41£ return, however if we are more than 25pax then it would only cost 40€/36£.
Anyone with any questions or other requests can pm me directly.
Cheers
Sean

Absolutely no chance it will sell out. Anyone know the best place to book a hotel? About 10 of us there for 2 nights so seeing where other blues are congregating.. ideally as close to the pubs away fans we will be put into? Cheers
