Interesting fact for those interested in planes, the plane that flew City to Naples today is the same plane Chelsea are using, it flew from Gatwick to Rome on Monday, then to Manchester, on to Naples this afternoon, and then to Rome this evening, currently waiting to fly Chelsea back to Gatwick (delayed).

After seeing our group's table and shaktar sitting on second with 6 points and most likely winning tomorrow, I think Napoli is going to give us a fierce fight, I am happy with a draw, as long as we are injury free. I think Pep will regard this game as more important than Arsenal. Wn it and it takes the pressure of our CL campaign untill the New Year and means we can rest players ahead of the derby and rotate against Feynoord. Slip up and we can't ease off at all.

we should sit back and let Napoli come to us. this means we can exploit sane and sterling on either flank and get something from the counter attack. Basically do what Jose Mourinho's Chelsea did at Anfield all those years ago. playing beautiful football will not work in this game as Napoli are very good at hitting teams on the break especially if you lose the ball in midfield. Mertens, Callejon, hamsik and insigne are a scary proposition. The defence should play a bit deeper and avoid passing the ball too much in our own defensive area. people might not like it but it is just my opinion. we need to just play it safe. I'll happily take a 0-0 draw

It's probably do or die for Napoli.

If they lose and Shakhtar win then the maximum points they can achieve would be 9, a tally achieved by Shakthar if they beat Feyenoord tomorrow.

Napoli would then be relying on beating Shakthar by a goal margin of more than 2-1 (the result of the first Shakthar game against Napoli) so their head to head is better, also they have to hope then that Shakthar lose to City in the final group game. Even just a draw for Shakhtar at home to City would put them on 10 points, qualifying them.

the only way we rest players for the derby is if we go into the last game against Shaktar with top spot in the group wrapped up. The only way I can see this happening is if we beat Napoli. A draw is not ideal, a win is what's required and that's what will happen.

The Arsenal game is the most important of the two. They will play their under 12's again on Thursday and they are at home. They will field 11 fresh players on Sunday. United go to a wounded Chelsea. With the axe hanging over Conte's head that could be good or bad. But Chelsea played their top team in Italy and will have to back 9 of them up. So If Utd win and we lose suddenly things can unravel quickly like last season. Sanchez Ozil Lacazette could just have a brilliant day we cold concede a penalty or red card and pow we get sucker punched. Also really worry about cover if Stones and Otamendi get injured. If we are serious about the league just sacrifice this game already. Save the top 11 for Sunday Win the League this season then go for both next season.
