Napoli away tickets on sale Wednesday. (FILL YOUR FORM IN.)

So is that a couple of hours to spare before kick off.

Yeah but they take you on a very unscenic tour of Naples to get you there so what should be a 20 minute journey takes about 90.
Just make sure if your drinking you make plenty of toilet visits between 4 and 5 cos you won't get a chance later and can be stuck on the bus for a couple of hours.

It's a real fun trip can't understand why more blues aren't dying to go to this one ;)

I have 2 non city mates who fancied the game and have booked flights.
They registered with city and got supporter numbers.
Between them they have been to around 6 games each with me over the years.
we knew this wouldnt sell out.
The tickets are on general sale
Because lads have no purchase history - city wont sell them tickets.
I emailed city, explained the situation, gave my supporter number, 21000 plus points etc and said - ill vouch for them and you can use my season card as 'guarantee' etc. Both good lads - wouldn't offer to be a guarantee otherwise
Got email back saying sorry - but no can do as wouldn't be fair to other supporters.

Not a chance city will sell out.
City couldnt give these tickets away!
The fairness doesn't seem to matter when city at numerous away games sell tickets to corporate / JCL with no purchase history

I thought City would be positive to my request
Both lads still going and can easily get tickets in other peoples name - take chance on day whether they are let in or not.

Anyone else think this is naff or do people agree with citys stance?

Noted this little piece on City's website promoting the Thomas Cook trip to Napoli which I thought was quite ironic

'It’s never been easier for Blues looking to follow City in Europe’s elite club cup competition'

After our last game in Turin, I was disgusted with the way we were treated after the game, and vowed to never return to Italy for a football match.

The game finished around 10:35 local time, but we were still in the ground at 11:20, surrounded by thuggish baton-wielding carbonieri

We were then herded onto some buses and a lengthy, meandering, magical mystery tour to the other side of the city centre, meaning a ridiculous 15 minute walk to the original pick up point. Also, the carbonieri had long since disappeared so the disorientated, disgruntled away supporters were now unsupervised, and thereby adding new meaning to the concept of futile irony.

It was worse than shite, and an appalling breach of civil decency. Only an idiot would ever considering repeating such a futile waste of time, energy, and expense.

Anyway, see you all in Naples.

Ha ha. See you there.

I did that trip (Juve) and travelled independently. We never got herded onto coaches so once they let us out we just walked down the road and hailed a taxi back into the centre. I assume we were lucky but no one tried pushing us over to the coaches that we saw lined up. Juve was a great trip, Naples sounds a nightmare. (still going mind)

Haha

After being held back at Juve, We walked straight out after the match and made our own way beck. Hailed some taxis.
We get held back in all these champions league games - madrid, paris, barc etc.
I thought Juve was a great trip, really enjoyed it.

Cant wait for Napoli

Yep.

Swings and roundabouts mate, because we made our own way to Roma’s stadium, and promptly featured in the MEN, as the only City fans who met any aggression from the locals. Good Luck to anybody who travels independently to the San Paolo, but it’s not on my bucket list.

Instead, I’ll be bursting for a piss, whilst wondering how a 15 minute journey can last more than an hour, even though the road is half-blocked, and we’re travelling at 70mph with a Police Escort

I enjoyed Turin, apart from the unnecessary matchday experience, as Juventus is a completely different experience to Rome (which after 6pm, rapidly deteriorates from culturally enlightening iconic capital, to Stamford Bridge circa Jim Tolmie 83) and Napoli (Millwall’s Neapolitan cousins).

Agree about the other grounds, but whereas PSG was surprisingly friendly (including their Police), I won’t return to the Nou Camp or the Bernabeu until the addiction kicks-in.

.

Is it not possible to just jump on a train after the match into the city centre? I’m staying near the station.
