Did you go last time? How was it then?

Today's MEN.

That takes some front, nerve and bravado to go away and attack home fans outside one of their pubs with *belts, a rope with a weight on it, and a cosh.

Or are they just daft c***'s, stuck in the 70's-90's, fuelled by the Ultra Culture?

Should be fun next Week in Naples.

'Cowardly ambush' by Napoli hooligans left young Manchester City fan seriously injured

Gianluca Del-Prato has been sent to prison for five months for his part in the incident at the Mary D’s pub in Beswick, before a Champions League game between City and Napoli on October 17

Manchester Crown Court heard how the atmosphere had been friendly in the pub that night, with young people and families present.

But police spotted a group of about eight youths all wearing black, who had their hoods up or were wearing hats and were moving against the flow of people walking to the Etihad Stadium.

After arriving at the pub the group launched a ‘totally unprovoked attack’ on City supporters there, prosecutor Andrea Lock said.

They were swinging belts over their head, and one was seen with a rope and weight attached to it, with another swinging a cosh, a form of baton.

I thought the no belts rule was stupid but I can now see why they are saying it.................... except their fans will still have flares never mind knives and they will undoubetdly have their belts. Yet again the innocent are punished for the idiots.
We will be bussed into a compound at the port and then bussed to a compound at the ground two and half hours before the match. Remind me, why am I going again ?

Did you go last time? How was it then?
Yes,went last time . It was one of those trips where you were looking over your shoulder for 2 days and were pretty grateful that the Italian Police were your new best mates . Seems like it’s everyman for himself next week . It is what it is, this is why we do these trips ......bit more edgy than WBA away .

In Rome in the Trastevere area at the minute. Here until weds. If anyone wants a beer and talk city all night get in touch. Nothing to be scared about with the Napoli fans, just stay near the port and we should be fine
