Napoli (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

That setup seems to be getting the best out of the 11 who started the last 2 games. Long may it continue.
Cmon cityyyyy!!

If anything the red made it more difficult. An Italian Conte team with 10 camped on the edge of their box is a nightmare. They love that defending stuff, whatever that is.

Impressive that we managed to put two passed 'em.
It did totally nullify their attacking ability though.

Can't really find much to complain about there. Team is clearly finding their rhythm, Reijnders is going to be sensational for us and their goalie kept them in it until the dam broke.

On to Arsenal.

Another solid performance from the mighty blues . It’s beginning to feel like old times again !

Loads of positives, still room for improvement, a couple of players that can and will kick on.

- Foden looks like David Silva all of a sudden, dictating the rhythm of the whole side.
- Rodri back to his best.
- Doku playing with freedom across the pitch is like a different player.
- He's got time to improve, but Reijnders looks off the pace.
- I quite like that back four. A solid back four of shit houses, a goalkeeper bollocking them, and just letting the forward line play with a bit more bravery and freedom is something I can get on board with this season.
- We take for granted what a monster Haaland is.

I’m extremely worried about how shit Donnarumma is with his feet and his flapping at corners. We simply cannot play without Ederson. Can’t believe the club.
im glad half the fannies on here dont have any say,it might take a year but there are good signs were evolving into a tidy little side

Cheers from Siciliy.
There were a few negative chants from some Napoli fans (were nice guys), but I told them, if you want negativity, visit the Bluemoon forum and go to the matchday thread.
Great goals, great performance! Next to sunday.aaa185bf-97cc-4092-b977-0785738303f0.jpeg

Great all around performance capped by two fantastic goals. Was crossing my fingers that Kev would be the man to go off after that red.. couldn't have dealt with him scoring or assisting vs us.

One of the best parts was that we could manage Rodri's minutes and get him off without any real concern. That was so key with Arsenal just a couple days away.

Only been two games but the signs are there….

Difficult to pick a motm between Doku and Phil…..Khus also deserves a mention. Big Erl looks hungry as well….

They’ll say it was only because they had an early red card but make no mistake we completely controlled the game from ‘soup to nuts’.

Onwards blues…bring on le arse !
