People saying the sending off changed the game need to remember that if Haaland wasn’t fouled we would have been 1-0 up against 11 men. He was clean though and about to score.

I agree that he would have, but it would almost certainly have been a more entertaining match with 11 v 11.

Napoli were always going to try to kill the game when they went down to 10 men.

Knew we’d get it sorted in the second half and we would have won regardless of the sending off.

All the fellas who were good on Sunday were good today, Foden, Haaland, Khus and especially Doku.

good game, red obv helped big time. still home win vs a decent side. same needed vs Monaco next game. we try to finish in top8 and try to push another one or two English sides into 9th or below to have them risk their whole CL in a playoff tie.

not a fan of that right side with Khusanov, Bernardo, just very little attacking going on on that side, albeit good workrate from both. maybe vs better sides good pairing, but vs lesser sides we need more firepower.

I prefer Pep not messing too much with the defence, let them grow together and build chemistry with each other and Donnarumma as well. last season we rarely fielded a defence twice in a row with same 3 players in the back4.

can see Ait Nouri, Gvardiol, Dias, Khusanov a solid back 4, where Ait Nouri gets proper license to roam forward ad do what he does best and Khusanov becomes a RCB.

True - I meant it changed the game in that it forced Napoli into sticking everyone in their own box. Outcome may have been the same, but the style of the game changed

Their keeper was having a stormer. I am not so sure Haaland would have buried that chance. It did tip the balance in our favour especially with Conte subbing off Kev early.

Pep and coaches have come up trumps allowing Doku to drift off the left hand side and allow Doku to pick up the ball on central areas, I'm surprised how well he's doing in that role, he's causing huge problems for teams.

The way we managed the game after the 2nd, is exactly what we should have done. The context was a 2-0 advantage, against a decent opponent and with 2 days before one of the 2 toughest away games in the league.
