I voted win and then watched this - made me nervous that our defence is going to be tested tonight.

Still if the theory holds then their forwards shouldn't be seeing that much of the ball

#TrustInPep

We have better players who can PASTA the ball better than them...

Just about to start the 3 1/2 hrs journey, 3 of us all with shark's. Hope they let them in tonight! being champions league and all that.
Anyway #Team Shark Car. CTID.

i traveled up saturday by train from newport and there were about 20 people with sharks, and i spoke to a few of them on the way home and they got their sharks in, but they didnt come home with them! Hope u get them in!

which part of mid-wales are from mate?

I clearly read it backwards
Maybe City worried about a lot of away fans turning up without tickets. Can't recall many big Italian visiting contingents in the past. Dutch, German maybe but not Italian.

Had they been on open sale I think it would sell out comfortably but it's awkward to get tickets. Looks like around 50,000 sold which is a good attendance in my book.

I'm going to turn up earlier than usual tonight as I reckon the queues are going to be massive. A lot of people not knowing where they are going, and a lot of people collecting tickets etc. I normally turn up last minute and miss all the pre-match build-up, CL anthem etc so will be good to take it all in

First time we played them, Napoli fans were everywhere

I read last week that 5k were expected to travel. Not sure whether that included god knows how many uk based Italian Napoli fans

I'm Naples and Napoli supporter: thanks for welcoming me in this forum.
Manchester City will win this match for the simple reason that its game is very similar to that of Napoli, with the difference that Citizens have more technical quality.
Naples historically suffers its similar teams, and today Napoli's main strength is to play against weaker teams and then, having opened the match with the goal of the advantage, playing in counterattack and score so many goals.
This pattern goes well in the Serie A championship where 18 teams on our 19 opponents are weaker than our team.
In Europe, where obviously there are much stronger teams, this system does not work.
So I agree with the general line of this thread that sees Manchester City winning.
I disagree with who believes that it is enough to block Mertens to block Naples. That is not the case.
Napoli has several players who can pick up the identity of Mertens and let's not forget that the actual Mertens version as goal scorer, is something very recent: it was born last year following the accident of Milik. First Mertens was a wing that played relatively little, the owners were Insigns, Callejon and Milik.
For Sarri's play, anyone who plays as a central striker scoring many goals. Me too :D
With the departure of Higuain (for which I did not despair, since Juve is disappointing) Napoli has become a co-op of the goal and the game.
Underestimate the rest of the team thinking that blocking Mertens is enough to win the game, it can be a fatal mistake for you.
If you play as you know, making the perfect match, you can not only win but also score 4-5 goals.

Thanks for the insight mate, and welcome to the forum.

Would be surprised at this but happy to be proven wrong.
Ive got my ticket anyway now!
Lots of freebies handed out to school kids as our "fans" still can't be arsed with the biggest (and most corrupt) club tournament.
At least my rag colleague and his lad will see some proper football tonight.
