Can't wait. Almost as good a standard of football you will ever see.
 
Should be a great game. Hopefully, Napoli come to play leading to a high-scoring game. They'd be wise to park the bus though. Either way, I expect that our squad is far too talented and deep for Napoli to cope with.

Guardiola commented a few weeks back that Napoli were were one of the top 3 sides in European club football and most people were puzzled. Looks genuine now. Obviously this will be a test for both sides. How strong is Serie A, or for that matter the Premier League.

Can they cope with De Bruyne and Jesus?

City need Walker fit. I am worried he maybe out. He looked a bit better in final couple of minutes but earlier on he did not want to kick the ball with his right foot

Good point RE Walker - Danilo could fill in, in a pinch though - giving us a more defensive fullback pairing of Delph and Danilo. We have enough attacking nous to accomodate D&D as FB's; so long as we're up for the game (and Pep will make sure that we are) I think we'll be OK.

Watched the majority of their game v roma last night and the commentator said they havnt lost an away game for going on 12 months, they looked very dangerous on the counter attack
 
If people are on the fence about going to this, I think this is definitely going to be one of the best footballing games of the season.

It'll be like the Monaco home game, but we'll have a better defence!

I guess that the commentator overlooked Napoli's loss to Shakhtar at Metalist Stadium :-).

Napoli are a good side and we might well lose. But if we play to our ability, I think we'll prevail; if Napoli come to play, I think they'll be made to pay.

He meant league game haha, insigne and mertens(who's a diving bastard) look very dangerous on the break, but as you say we should have to much for them
 
This could be Monaco at home MKII.

I am very excited for this game, should be a cracker. Arguably our hardest and biggest test of the season so far.

This Napoli side look very good.
 
Quiet looking forward to this. Taking care of the biz in the league has made the CL more interesting for me this season than years past. Closing off most league games early (as city should be doing) makes games like Napoli the real test of our quality.

Just hoping the fans in attendance can start to build an atmosphere. I understand the distain, but it's getting old. Easy for me to say who doesn't live in england and has never been to a game. Reading from afar, it sounds like the club would do well to drastically lower ticket prices...

if it wasnt 35 + quid id agree with you. but a lot of people can't and wont pay those prices, which i think are too high for the group stages.

35 quid and you don't want to pay it? Then don't go. Sure there will be lots of others will take your place. Don't know when you are well off, watching the football we have been playing lately against the top team in Italy.
 
Hope we get 50000 plus for this. How many are Napoli bringing?

What an ignorant response
Do you not think some may need to prioritise there money elsewhere than on a football match ?
 
Napoli's strength is the high pressing game and their ability to pass the ball through the defence at speed for the runs of the three small guys up front. The defence is not great and will not be used to our kind of game. If we can nullify the supply of ball from their midfield with our own pressing then I can see nothing but a City win.

3,000 plus small allocation of posh seats I think.

There have been reports of a bigger following and fans travelling without tickets but I remember when we played them before and they didn't fill their own end so that could be just hype.

We got 45,000 against Shakhtar with only a couple of hundred away fans, so I'd hope that there'd be at least 50k on Tuesday

Some people may need to prioritise money elsewhere than on a football match and then they should I had to for a few years. But £35 isnt bad for a champions league clash against a top team and if £35 is too much to spend then thats a shame but it doesnt make it a bad price.
