Napoli post-match thread

Just checked Ragsons players ratings on manchester evening news he gave ferrny a 5 did you watch the game you prick, the follow up tackle from the penalty gave him an 8 you twat.

Job done. Was looking like the performance that would make the football world sit up and take notice but wasnt to be.

Naples a much bigger challenge. If we can win there, wow.

BT said we only need one point, but I don’t understand why.

If we draw with Feyenord and lose the other two matches we finish in 10 points.
If Shaktar beat us and Feyenord but lose to Napoli they will finish on 12 points.
Should Napoli win all their remaining three games they will also finish on 12 points.
Feyenord would finish on 1 point from their draw with us.

So one point isn’t enough on its own, it depend upon who it is against.
A draw against Napoli away will see us through as we will be on 10 points and the most they could get is 10 points.
We would be above them on head to head.

Carry on playing like we are and it is all academic. We will top the group comfortably.

Because 1 point means napoli can't get 12 if we draw against them...

You asked how would Napoli feel themselves without the ball mate. Was you question answered? :)
Sarri is probably the best positional play coach right now. Watched all their games this season and today's match has only confirmed my impression. I mean, I knew that someone will eventually appear and surpass Guardiola, but never thought that it's going to be a 58 yo former banker with less than 10 years of pro coaching experience...
They've made us look ordinary for most part of the game, and done it with a squad that is probably slightly worse than Arsenal's....Have no words. It's like another generation of Pepcelona football.

You're on drugs, aren't you?

I tell u what guys, this playing out from the back doesn't half give me kittens!! Some of the playing out from both sides actually was nothing short of majestic. It's wonderful too watch and ederson, how cool is that fucker with the ball at his feet!!
Loved the first 30 odd mins, perfection almost. Some of napolis passing and movement was top class and I think we needed that stern test which we passed. I thought we coped quite well defensively overall. Stones is looking almost faultless at the moment.

John Stones. What a rock at the back pardon the pun. That block he made was class. Will it be compared to others??
Radio Manc. - Andy Buckley thought it was a pen.The Goat thought no pen. Replays show it was a great block.

1 or 2 of their players go down too easily.
Bet they get another pen . at theirs.
