Agree that Savage is a knob but to be fair to him from one of the camera angles it looked a nailed on handball, it was the front angle that showed it wasn't.

KdB, Raheem, Merlin very good. Ederson, Nico and the three tight bastards all excellent, though I was disappointed with some of Dinho's passing, especially second half.

Thought we did tire but that was the third match in any row for that same team. Great night. Topped off by my mum attending her first match for a while. She is over 80 now.

Great performance against a top side. Think we struggled a bit once they started with the high press and was a bit surprised we didn't try some of Edersons cannon balls to Sane or Gabby. Delph looked good again and even when he made a mistake he recovered brilliantly. Like others have said John Stones MOTM also for me, looked really composed under pressure and his positioning was great.
Gonna be difficult in a few weeks at their gaff but In Pep we Trust !

We only need one point to go through if we draw in Naples. A single point elsewhere won't guarantee it.
As for tonight; we had four good chances (scored two of them and hit the bar) before their first penalty and a couple of good attacks early in the second half where we should really have sealed it. Too much fucking about at the back nearly cost us, but overall we deserved the win.
And where did 5 minutes come from?

We was always going to have a dip in form because of how intense we play and teams of the ilk of napoli will pick us off the odd time but the team is wired at the moment and on the front foot from the get go.
