The media guru's at L'Equipe declare today that Arsenal's Samir Nasri has an 'agreement in principle' in place with Manchester City ahead of a 22 million euros transfer...

L'Equipe reckon 24 year old Nasri and his representatives are close to being given the green light to go North by Arsene Wenger who has softened his stance over the talented midfielder's wantaway status. The Arsenal gaffer was unimpressed by Nasri's showing in the Gunners friendly draw with Boca Juniors.

Wenger is waiting on the outcome of the pursuit of his own midfield targets and 'Fabregasgate' before giving the French international the nod. Should Nasri join The Citizens, he would be the fourth big name Arsenal star to leave for City since Sheikh Mansour came to town after Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor and Gael Clichy.

More as we get it...

Just a thought. Nasri is suspended for Arsenals First leg Champs League tie. Maybe we will not conclude any deal till he has served that ban first so that he then doesnt miss a champions league game for us.

WTF !!!!

That does actually makers sense, but not a reason to hold up the deal. I would think they would rather it be done and dusted then wait another two weeks.

SENSE!!! thats the last thing it makes! if we r going in for nasri then we better do it quick before before he changes his mind about anything.

It was just a thought. I want him signed up asap like everyone else. However if he were to ever change his mind then he wouldnt of deserved to wear the blue shirt in the first place. I beleive he will sign, and for all the right reasons too.

whats happening in portugal?

think they've got a friendly with benfica, either way nasri is not going again i think because he's injured?

"injured" eh? Wonder if it's one of those muscle strains that can't be proved either way?

-- Fri Aug 05, 2011 3:47 pm --

You're right, it's definitely Mancini's fault. He's never signed anyone 'good'. Mancini out?
