not long to wait now blues till nasri graces the etihad turf!! city have been trying hard for a number of weeks (i haven t read this in the papers, i have been pm ing a mod on here about it for a while)

city wanted him before the swans game and there were a lot of difficulties I am told. Arsenal and the board had to be seen to bring players in and save face etc! etc!

there should be an announcement soon! Rejoice! haven t heard about a medical as yet in case anyone asks

I may be old and grey but do I remember us being offered Nasri for £2M when Stuart Pearce was manager - or have I imagined that?! Stuart didn't think a punt because of his age at the time?

I am led to believe that this one is not as cut and dried as everyone seems to think - arsenal are looking for us to pay €30M and we are keen to not go over €20M given the length of time left on the player's contract. Neither party is keen to compromise, hence it is dragging and may well do for longer

sorry Paul I do apologise - the numbers are correct but I mixed my £ up with my €, could just as easily have been my arse and my elbow! - the gap is still large; as to the poster who said it is £22M v £24M, I think you are just taking figures from the BBC football website earlier, trust me that the gap between the 2 parties is a lot bigger than £2M - if it was such a small difference the deal would have been done

Just seen on Sky Sports Arsenal opening talks with Dann which according to the BBC story is where some of the money from these deals is meant to be going?

Anyway, not sure on figures just quoting what I have read - you could be right BBS we do have a few weeks yet but I think personally and hope we will have this done sooner rather than later - hopefully anyway!
