Worst thing all last year was watching when we got bossed. That was awful, feeling relief at a goalless draw after getting torn a new one, or worse a collapse like Everton away or Wembley.

I really do agree with playing Nasri instead of Barry. Barry is good against certain types of teams but struggles mightily to make an impact against pacey, aggressive teams.
That's myth. Barry adds a lot to our team that people fail to recognize because, 1. he isn't flashy and 2. he isn't a star.

He cuts up a lot of play and physically bullies some opponents. Yep, he gets skinned but we always notice and point the finger when it's him. Kompany's gotten skinned worse than Barry a couple times last season.

Barry is one of most consistent players. Always composed, and if you understand what he brings to the team, you notice that he always produces. Here's an example, he makes a tackle or interception, and passes it to Silva who does the rest. Most of us are English and we would rather see a crossfield pass, etc, but yes, that little sideways pass to Silva could be the difference in a match. When he does put in a good pass, it goes unnoticed..Why? cause it's Barry. Let's not forget that Barry's made more tackles, blocks, and scored more goals than De Jong. The same goes for Barry-Yaya except in the goals category, I believe.

That said, do I think Nasri would be better than Barry. Absolutely, but I really think Barry deserves more credit.

Rubbish. Barry is out of his depth at this level, plain and simple. You said it yourself - 'Yep, he gets skinned' . Frankly, as a holding m/f player that's a bit of a damning statement! Bit like saying a centre forward can't score goals but look at his throw ins.................
Best way of looking at it objectively, is to ask how many other top six sides in Prem OR top 10 in Europe would have him in their starting x11? Answer= none. And that's the level we're now aspiring to be at.
He's slow in thought and deed, abysmal 1st touch and isnt that good at tackling either - simply because he was designed originally to be an attacking m/f player. Yaya is exasperated with him every game. He looks to get rid of the ball immediately sideways/backwards and will even abdicate responsibility to bloody Lescott (who is also not good enough).
These two are our team's weak links and will cost us in big games to come.

As ever you talk shite - who do you support by the way as I know it is not City? Without the excellent job that Barry does Yaya would not have the freedom to do what he likes doing. By the way when we signed him 2 of the established PL big 4 wanted him - liverpool and arsenal.

I would guarantee every club in the top 6 would want Barry. Those that criticise do you actually watch him? Did you see the home game against Chelsea or the Cup Semi Final when Barry was instrumental in our victories? Conversely note the Community Shield when without him we were a disorganised mess in midfield that allowed Utd to run over us.

Barry provides the platform, rarely gives the ball away, always gets goal side and does the donkey work to allow the likes of Silva and Toure to add the flair.

Without doubt one of the best midfielders we have had for decades.

Now back to Nasri..

Barry is a decent player - he does a quality job - people should stop calling him shit - Bebe is shit - Barry is quality - took the fall for England lost his place to Parker whom looks decidely feckin average

supprort him support the team - been watching City for 30 plus years - if Barry is considered shit then can i suggest you aint been watching City for very long

And i get slated for being pessamistic / negative

^^^This^^^ Barry works hard but doesn't get the accolades other players receive because of the job he does for City.

has to be nasday one day mate and that day is today!!!!! :-)
Shall we start with Bridgewater again today?

Yeeeeeeaaaah, let's make it another Bridgewater day! with reports of reporters outside...reporting that Nasri is in there. Breaking reports reporting that Nasri is due to arrive, being updated to report that it has been reported that the reports have been incorrect and Nasri is on his way to Mcr, reportedly ready for his medical.

I love it!
