Re: Nasri confirmed

Sorry if already posted

Samir Nasri has completed his medical at Manchester City and is expected to finalise his move from Arsenal on Wednesday.

The Frenchman was in the North West on Tuesday to undergo a physical examination.

City are happy that they are getting a player ready to be thrust straight into first-team action and will now press ahead with closing the deal.

The Blues agreed a fee with Arsenal earlier in the day, as a summer-long transfer saga began to edge towards a conclusion.

Nasri has made it clear that he wants out of the Emirates and he has been drawing admiring glances from the Gunners' Premier League rivals since the transfer window opened.

Manchester United and Chelsea were also believed to be keen at one stage, but it is City who are closing on the 24-year-old's signature.

Reports suggest Roberto Mancini's side are to pay Arsenal £24million for a player who would be out of contract next summer were he to remain in the capital.

Re: Nasri confirmed

so, our business, roughly (correct me if I'm wrong)

Clichy: 7 mil
Savic: 6 mil
Aguero: 38 mil
Nasri: 23 mil
---------
74 million in

Caicedo: 1 mil
Boateng: 11.8 mil (13.5 euro apparently)
Given: 3.5 mil
Weiss: ~4 mil
Wright-Phillipes: ~2.5 mil (??)
-------
22.8 million out

Adebayor: Loan
Boyata: Loan
with rumors that RSC could be going to Spain (loan), Bellamy maybe to Dippers, whilst Bridge doesn't seem to have many suitors.

Anyway, that's roughly 51.2 mil net spend, down roughly from 95.5 mil net last summer (and winter: Boateng, Toure, Balotelli, Silva, Kolarov, Milner, Dzeko), and down from roughly 126.5 million from 09-10 (Santa Cruz, Barry, K Toure, Tevez, Adebayor, Lescott, Johnson). If we want to go even further, it is down from 114 mil from 08-0 (Jo, Zabaleta, Kompany, SWP, Robinho, Bridge, Bellamy, De Jong, Given).

So to put it in perspective, we've cut it back this year :)

to put it into perspective:
United
outgoing: none
incoming: Jones, Young (16 each), De Gea (~18) = roughly ~50 mil net

Chelsea
outgoing: Zhirkov (13 Mil), Mancienne (3 mil) 16 mil
incoming: Lukaku (20 mil), Romeu (4.35), Courtois (undisc.), Mata (28 mil) = 36.35 mil net spend, but are linked to other 20mil+ targets such as Modric and Pereira.

Liverpool also around the 50 million net spend mark with Enrique, Adam, Henderson, and Downing and no significant transfers out.
